GM is a founding member of IONNA, a joint venture formed to create a new high powered charging network, with a targeted installation of more than 30,000 chargers in urban and highway locations throughout North America.

Together with Pilot Travel Centers and EVgo, GM is building 2,000 DC fast chargers at up to 500 Pilot and Flying J travel centers to equip EV drivers for long-distance travel and road trips.

For city dwellers, GM is leading a collaborative fast charging program with EVgo to install 2,850 DC fast chargers, including 400 fast chargers at flagship charging destinations, in major metropolitan areas across the U.S.

How to charge on the Tesla Supercharger Network

With one simple click, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC EV owners gain access to the Tesla Supercharger Network through their vehicle mobile app. Here’s a quick start guide to charging on the network:

Prepare

Set up your vehicle mobile app and order your GM-approved adapter all in one place.

Find

Navigate to the Maps tab in the app and search for public charging. Click here to learn how to find a compatible charger.

Connect

Connect your NACS DC adapter to the charging cable, then plug it into your vehicle.

Within the Charge Management section of your app, select your Tesla Supercharger and tap to begin charging.

Public charging, defined

Level 2 Charging

Level 2 is the most common charging speed available. On most EVs, Level 2 chargers can generally deliver between 7 to 40 miles of range per hour2 of charging depending on vehicle, battery condition and climate.

DC Fast Charging

DC Fast Charging is great for a boost or when you quickly need more miles for a road trip. Drivers can expect between 15 to 100 miles of range in 10 minutes2 depending on vehicle, battery condition and climate.

• Currently the fastest way to charge.
• Stations may bill by charging time or kWh hours used.
• Plan your stops while on an extended road trip or when your battery needs a rapid charge to get you back on the road faster.
