Supercharge
With one simple click, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC EV owners gain access to the Tesla Supercharger Network through their vehicle mobile app. Here’s a quick start guide to charging on the network:
Set up your vehicle mobile app and order your GM-approved adapter all in one place.
Navigate to the Maps tab in the app and search for public charging. Click here to learn how to find a compatible charger.
Connect your NACS DC adapter to the charging cable, then plug it into your vehicle.
Within the Charge Management section of your app, select your Tesla Supercharger and tap to begin charging.
Once complete, you’ll receive an email receipt from your session.
EV KNOWLEDGE
Level 2 is the most common charging speed available. On most EVs, Level 2 chargers can generally deliver between 7 to 40 miles of range per hour2 of charging depending on vehicle, battery condition and climate.

DC Fast Charging is great for a boost or when you quickly need more miles for a road trip. Drivers can expect between 15 to 100 miles of range in 10 minutes2 depending on vehicle, battery condition and climate.

The North American Charging Standard is an electric vehicle charging connector system.
GM is committed to continuing our collaborations with other industry leaders to help accelerate the deployment of vital charging infrastructure, expanding access to charging across residential, workplace and public charging; and working together to align to a single standard ahead of millions of new EVs hitting the roads.
The NACS DC adapter is designed to plug into a CCS charge port inlet on the vehicle, while the other side allows for a NACS DC charger to plug in. This enables a CCS vehicle to utilize a NACS DC fast charger. Reference the owner’s manual to learn more.
No. The NACS DC adapter is designed exclusively for safe use with Tesla Superchargers and NACS DC fast charging stations. With the use of the NACS DC adapter, GM EV drivers have access to V3 Tesla Superchargers and additional chargers in the network. Select Tesla Superchargers are available to Tesla drivers only. Customers are able to use their GM vehicle brand apps to locate specific chargers. Review this guide to learn more.
You can search for and find Tesla Superchargers, plan a route, initiate a charge and process payment using the GM vehicle brand mobile apps. If your vehicle has Google built-in3 compatibility, you can also use Google Maps on your center display to search for and route to a NACS charging station after changing the adapter setting in charge station filtering. From the map screen, select the Charging Stations icon under the search bar. In the charging stations list, select the Filters icon and navigate to the compatible plugs section. Here you can select your plug type and toggle on NACS. Google Maps on your center display will now include NACS compatible charge stations in its search results and EV trip plans.
GM EV customers have access to over 20,000 Tesla Superchargers located throughout the U.S. and Canada. Generation 3 (V3) and beyond Tesla Superchargers will be open to GM drivers. Select Superchargers are available to Tesla drivers only. Customers are able to use their GM vehicle brand apps to locate specific chargers.
The NACS DC Adapter features a 12-month limited warranty from the date of purchase, similar to other non-installation GM accessories.
GM strongly advises that customers use a GM-approved NACS DC adapter for charging on the Tesla Supercharger Network, which has been specifically designed to protect GM EV batteries while charging. Customers who leverage an adapter which is not sold or provided by GM could potentially damage the EV's battery which could potentially void portions of the vehicle's limited warranty.
To charge on the Tesla Supercharger Network, it requires you to have your GM vehicle mobile app set up for public charging. The Tesla Supercharger Network is integrated into the GM vehicle mobile app for you to seamlessly find a charger, initiate the charge, and pay for the charge.

To ensure GM is supporting customer demand for NACS DC Adapters, the company plans on leveraging multiple suppliers to produce enough volume. While the physical appearance of the initial GM NACS DC Adapters may vary, each has been developed and tested to the same standards, helping to ensure customers can charge their EVs safely and efficiently at chargers which utilize the North American Charging Standard.
