General Motors has the broadest portfolio of electric vehicles in the auto industry, and we’re thrilled to show it off. Our all-new EV ride and drive experience does just that. We’ve visited more than 10 supplier facilities, including Lear, US Farathane, Inteva, Valeo, Magna, as well as communities throughout Southeast Michigan. Our EV drive offers employees, suppliers and community leaders the opportunity to experience GM’s electric vehicle lineup from behind the wheel, and learn about our electrification efforts.

So far, attendees have gotten to take a spin in the affordable Chevrolet Blazer EV, the multi-functional GMC HUMMER EV and the luxurious Cadillac LYRIQ.  Afterward, they learned more about home charging, our growing public charging network, and each vehicle’s impressive capabilities.

For more than 100 years, GM has been supporting jobs, driving innovation, and keeping America competitive globally. With more than 51,000 employees in Michigan, it’s no coincidence that this tour kicked off in the mitten state – the birthplace of General Motors.

We pay $7.3 billion in taxable wages to our workforce, and also partner with more than 3,100 suppliers and 200 dealerships across the state.

We’re committed to bringing our communities and team members along on our journey to an all-electric future. These events give thousands of people across Metro Detroit the opportunity to experience the future of transportation in action.

We’re looking forward to sharing our amazing EVs with drivers across America, giving more communities a chance to get behind the wheel of the automotive future.
