General Motors Flint plants award $270,000 in grants to local nonprofits

General Motors’s Flint Assembly, Flint Metal Center, and Flint Engine Operations in Michigan announced $270,000 in grants to eight local community nonprofits:

  • Boys and Girls Club of Greater Flint
  • Boy Scouts of America, Michigan Crossroads Council
  • Communities First Inc.
  • Red Ink Flint, Inc.
  • Flint River Watershed Coalition
  • Kettering University
  • Flint Children’s Museum
  • United Way of Genesee County

Each year GM plants show our commitment to the Flint community by providing Community Impact Grants to local nonprofits dedicated to improving the lives of Flint area residents. These grants are part of our broader commitment to investing in the communities where our facilities are located, supporting nonprofits that improve the quality of life in the places our team members call home. GM has more than 6,000 employees in the Flint area.
