This Women’s History Month, we’re reminded that our mission to become the most inclusive company in the world has been in motion for decades. From the Damsels of Design to automotive’s first woman CEO Mary Barra, GM has a rich legacy of women shaping and redefining the automotive industry.
Our theme is “Behind Every Great Woman, There Are More Great Women.” Simply put, this means that across GM, there are women affecting, shaping, and expanding our company. There are the women you know, and the ones you have yet to meet – all of whom are worth celebrating.
We had the pleasure of sitting with five women from across departments who are continuing the legacy and leaving an impact on GM as we speak. Tune in weekly for our original content series featuring Jean Liu-Barnocki, Gena Vitale, Melinda Gray, Sigal Cordeiro, and Muna Hamza. They’ll share their career paths, talk about diversity and mentorship, and much more.
Each woman featured in our Women’s History Month content exemplifies the unique impact women have on our company. We’re excited to offer these interviews as gratitude to our interviewees, as well as all the women within GM. Thank you for joining us in celebrating the ways women drive our industry forward.
