What We Do


Two technically advanced aluminum casting processes are used at SMCO:  Precision sand (HFV6 Block), and Semi-Permanent Mold (HFV6 Head & Driveline). 
The plant also performs pre-machining and final machining operations.


Products:

  • 3.6 liter High Feature V-6 aluminum engine blocks and cylinder heads – Chevrolet Blazer and Colorado, Cadillac XT6 and XT5 and the GMC Acadia and Canyon
  • Front 4wd axle assembly castings – light-duty Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
